\"\"<\/a>CIRAD is the French organization for agronomic research and international cooperation for the sustainable development of tropical and Mediterranean regions. It works on major themes such as food security, climate change, the management of natural resources, the reduction of inequalities and the fight against poverty.<\/p>\n

With its partners in the South, CIRAD produces and transmits new knowledge to support innovation and agricultural development.<\/p>\n

CIRAD has a first objective: to build a sustainable agriculture, adapted to climate change, able to feed 10 billion people in 2050, while preserving the environment.<\/p>\n

From local to global, through its sustainable partnerships, it contributes to the development of an agriculture that serves all, especially small farmers, who constitute the vast majority of producers. It responds to the global challenges of food security and climate change, but also to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.<\/p>\n

QualiSud<\/h1>\n

Within CIRAD, the QualiSud research unit works in the field of food processing, from its post-harvest or cutting down process to the appreciation of its sensory quality in the mouth, of its nutritional quality, its health benefits, its safety and its technological properties. Dynamic mechanisms of construction of this quality require a good knowledge of the food matrix and its interaction with the environment.
